CAMPTON HIGASHIYAMA ROKU'S COMMITMENT

BUILDING
This historical building of the accommodation, which was completed in 1914, has been meticulously renovated by artisans, preserving its original appearance. Inside, the building has over 100 years of history, with fittings and transoms carefully maintained by successive owners, and we have created a tranquil space that allows guests to reminisce about ancient Kyoto at the time of construction.

Traditional CERAMIC BATHTUB (SHIGARAKI)
Please take a soak in the beautiful Shigaraki blue bathtub while gazing out at the courtyard, a relaxing space that will help you forget your daily fatigue.

LIGHTING made with traditional JAPANESE PAPER CRAFT
"The Illuminated Wall" and "Lighting for each room", created by leading Japanese Traditional Paper Craft Designer Eriko Horiki, create a space where guests can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and sensibility of a traditional house, along with the calming shadows of time.
The pieces of these Japanese Paper Craft are also based on the Japanese character "ROKU", or "SIX". We believe that this harmonious hexagonal shape will not only provide relaxation, but also peace of mind and comfort to our guests.
Like the tortoiseshell patterns that adorn the building in abundance throughout, CAMPTON prays for the longevity of this building and feels blessed to be able to pass on its history to future generations together with all of you.
